Feature Film "An Expats' Tale", settled in a diplomatic environment, build up on human relations where different cultures cope with harsh comic clashes which sometimes gets to discrimination, where small issues easily may become big dramas depending on the locals' or foreigners' different angles. This movie tells the story of Roshi, the small boy who during communism, while playing, his kite got stuck on a tree inside the foreign Embassy and he could never recover it... maybe so that when he would grow up, one day he could turn out to be one of their employees, work with the foreigners... and somehow, in a way following up his kite dream. It is the professional and love story of the main charcater, making great choices in life when there is no guarantee of the outcome. - "Portavoce" (Megaphone) traces back the evolution of a culture of protest in Romania, developing in recent years, through the voices and opinions of key actors involved in social mobilization, in direct actions and in the development of a cultural scene favorable to political involvement. Throughout the movie, we placed an emphasis on interviews with activists and "affiliates" of the "alternative scene" in Bucharest. Three main protest waves were presented and critically put in context, through interviews and protest footage. At the end of January 2017, mass protests against a government ordinance emerged in Romania and soon became the biggest protest wave this country had seen in over 25 years. These protests highlighted a trend of discontentment of the young generation, discovering an interest in politics and demanding its share in political decision-making. This movie's starting aim was to find out if the perceived simultaneity of cultural consumption within an urban "alternative" scene, and the processes of politicization associated with, is at the core of social mobilization in Romania. As we understood it, the events of 2017 were the climax of a development characterized by a succession of protests, during the last four years, parallel to an increasing consumption of non-mainstream culture. In 2013, an environmental campaign against the 'Rosia Montana' mining project, marked the moment when the collective identity of this group was shaped, a collective identity further strengthened during the protests of November 2015, following a fire that killed 65 people and destroyed the Bucharest alternative concert venue 'Colectiv'. The movie offers a dynamic composition of in depth analytical discussions of highly relevant societal trends, lifestyle elements and fast moving imagery of protests and artistic events (music and performance art).

He is nervous, he wants to get away, doubts, then decide to stay and put on the paper all of this revelations. He wants Lola not to leave the house but confront Douglas, let everyone know what kind of man he is. She is also scared. Again at Eduardo's room he struggles between reality and fantasy, he is concentrated writing but someone knocks the door. Douglas shows off and sees Eduardo's baggage, he asks him why he wants to leave without having finished his job. The writer tells him he is not going to leave the house, but he was confused before. Eduardo says he wants to know something. He grabs Douglas's cane and throws it away. He knows he is faking and wants to know why. The therapist seats on the bed and talks about his needs, he needs others to feel compassion for him. Eduardo laughs, Douglas warns him not to tell this to anyone, then he leaves the room. Eduardo keeps envisioning what Douglas would be doing in the privacy of his bedroom with Estefania. Again the choking game takes places between the couple. Nothing seems to be real, but he likes what he is writing. So he figures it out a performance in which he and Lola unmasks Douglas and then it take place. Eduardo and Lola talk to Douglas and ask him many questions related to all the lies he said. Estefania appear and also confronts his husband and realise he is still married to Lola. This confrontation ends up when she hits Douglas with the cane. Julia keeps talking to the therapist, she tells her how she meet Ulises at a club where she was a dancer, she fainted at the stage and he took her to a hospital where they had the change to know each other. They started a relationship, and she finally confesses she killed him playing the choking game. Douglas and Ulises are the same person. Estefania is assimilating who his husband really is, a liar, a psycho, and a coward. She tells him she is fed up of all of this, so their relationship has reach a non return point. At the pool everyone is having fun. All the patients surround a girl, also Estefania. Eduardo and Lola talk, she asks how he is going to finish the book. He wants it to be a novel, a fiction, but she does't understand because almost everything he has written is true. Thats not the point, answer Eduardo. Douglas shows up and starts to deliver a speech to all the people, but no one listen to him,he just lost attention and he realises it. He leaves finally the house.
