- "The fat man is in swimming, and asks a pretty Summer girl to give him a cigarette in order that he may show her a diving trick. She is fully attired in a summer gown, but heedlessly walks out on a springboard. The fat man reaches up and pulls down the springboard in order to get the cigarette; but his hand slips, and the board flies up, throwing the Summer girl into the air and into the water with a terrific splash."
- "This illustrates a very common summer catastrophe. A young man and woman are out rowing in a cockleshell boat, when the girl decides that she wants to take the oars. They attempt to change seats, and as they do so the boat overturns, and both get a dunking."
- "A summer man and two young ladies are out fishing in a skiff. The young man, rod in hand, is playing a big bass, and the two girls are excitedly watching him. One is handling the net, and as the bass is drawn up by the side of the boat, she makes a wild plunge for it. In doing so, she loses her balance and overturns the boat, and all three are tumbled into the water."
- During the freeze of last January some races were arranged upon a frozen lake in Shrewsbury, and these beautiful iceboats glide across the smooth ice surface at great speed. There are also races between ice boats and automobiles. Also the lads brought out their miniature ice boats and had races among themselves.
- "Farmer Jones is seen coming into the dock at Pleasure Bay in his flat-bottomed boat, by two bathing girls on mischief bent. They swim out to him and start to tease him by tipping his boat. He attempts to remonstrate with them, but his efforts only result in his inevitable dunking."
- "A catboat is shown in the foreground, and from it a young man and woman are diving and swimming about in the clean water. A second pretty young woman in a summer gown is taking her ease on the stern of the boat, when a sudden lurch by the bathers causes her to slip from her place and to fall headlong into the water. She makes the best of the accident, however, and climbs back on the boat laughing at her plight."
- "This gallant young man is taking his best girl out for a row, but in order to get his rowboat he has to walk to the water over a narrow and treacherous plank. The young lady is afraid to venture over the plank, so the young man decided to carry her. He has almost reached the boat when the treacherous plank breaks and precipitates the two into the river."
- "A sailboat is just starting out from the dock with its jolly crowd of young people, and Uncle Reuben with the lunch basket comes running down. The boat is a little too far away from the dock, but he jumps for it and just misses, falling into the water with lunch basket and all. The picnickers pull him out, and scold him for his clumsiness."
- "Uncle Rube had come up the river from the farm with his two daughters for a day's outing at Pleasure Bay. He is seen rowing up to the dock and jumping from the boat before it is close enough to enable him to leap in safety. Of course he misses his footing and plunges headlong into the water."
- "Two Summer girls have taken a city chap out for a row. He is immacuately attired. As they approach the boat landing the girls ask the young man to jump ashore with the rope. He does so, but slips on the landing and falls into the water, from which they rescue him with shouts of laughter."

The farmer and his hired man go out in a hot haste in a boat after the tramp, and as the two boats come together a quarrel ensues which results in the occupants of both boats being thrown into the stream."
- An American flag acts as a stake in the race, and is placed in the center of the ice. The yachts with their great white sails are seen running toward and rounding the stake. They go through some very remarkable manoeuvres. One yacht nearly capsizes. At this particular race it is estimated that some of the yachts made as high as forty miles an hour. The scene gives a remarkably good idea to anyone not acquainted with ice yachting.
- "A city chap is seen fishing seated on a spile at the end of of the dock. Two Summer girls in bathing suits, who have been crabbing, approach him from behind with crab nets; and as he is intent upon a bite, they give him a shove from the rear and pitch him headlong into the water."
- "One of the big 'hit' pictures of the Biograph. A pretty girl is seated on a plank over the water by the side of a large Gordon setter which she is petting and which seems to enjoy the proceedings. Thinking to frighten the dog the girl starts to bounce up and down the plank. As she does so the plank breaks, and the two are precipitated into the water; the dog striking out for land, and the girl clinging to the boards until help arrives."
