- Sun Hill officially reopens after the fire. DCI Meadows appoints Gina Gold as FLO to Supt Okaro in the aftermath during the investigation of his wife's accident. DC Sim is assigned to the case of a recently released sex offender, but discovers there is far more to the case than previously suspected. DC Perkins continues to help DS De Costa with her apparent stalker. DS Hunter continues to be attentive to DS Dixon.
- Supt Okaro confronts the driver of the car involved in the accident with his wife. DC Sim has difficulty reconciling the suicide of her child abuse witness, but continues to investigate the case in an effort to save the victim's sister from a similar experience. DS De Costa confronts Margaret Barnes about her obsessive attention, with unexpected repercussions. A counterfeit DVD case turns domestic.
- When Broots is sent to The Centre Data Annex to investigate an information leak The Annex is attacked by a masked gunman who kills all the staff. Broots manages to escape but soon becomes a hunted man as Mr. Lyle takes steps to seal the leak - no matter who it really is. Jarod races to protect Broots from The Centre and from the gunman "Damon", who has a history of stealing Centre secrets for evil use.
- Cole and Cassandra search for the primary in 1957 to prevent the paradox , while in 2044, Ramsey, Deacon and the daughters try to find titan to kill the witness.
- While Miss Parker and Mr. Broots are on a stakeout in the honeymoon suite of a Las Vegas hotel, are buried attractions about to be unleashed? Meanwhile, Jarod becomes a PI in a Raymond Chandler styled caper to help his old friend Argyle rescue a woman kidnapped by bad guys.
- Jarod buys a used video camera and discovers it still contains footage of its previous owners, a mother and daughter, being attacked beside a river. Using scenes from the camera as guide, Jarod traces them to a small town where all is not what it first appears. Meanwhile, Miss Parker, Broots and Sydney follow a new set of clues, sent to them by Jarod, in search of Edna Raines, and more buried secrets of The Centre.
- The body of a missing boy is found, naked and wrapped in a blanket. His infant sister is about to undergo major surgery. As the investigation continues, there seems to be confusion as to just when he was last seen alive. Meanwhile DI Manson is finding it hard to deal with his own son's illness.
- Conclusion. Jarod and his father (George Lazenby) team up to rescue the clone created by the Centre's project. Meanwhile, Miss Parker learns more about her mother's murder.
- Nicole is adjusting to new, messy, noisy game-playing, flat-mate Josh. Tensions mount with opposing views on the how best to provision public and private health services between Shortland Street and St Cath's hospitals. Seth hosts a cocktail party where things finally come to blows when Sarah publically exposes Seth and Roy's conflicts of interest.
- Jarod joins a reckless extreme-sports group to discover the truth behind an alleged bungee jump 'accident' that left its victim in a coma. Meanwhile, Jarod uses a game show motif to send Miss Parker, Sydney and Broots on a journey to discover a dark secret about Mr Lyle.
- Still working in uniform, Phil Hunter retrieves a snatched bag containing £15,000. The owner eventually admits that he is being blackmailed for a marital indiscretion. Phil sets up a sting to catch the blackmailer. Meanwhile, pressure is put on Martin Turnbull, a witness waiting to give evidence against his brother-in-law Ray Moore.
- Jarod is contacted by a Native American with information to help him in his search for his father, but soon finds himself in a race to find him before a gang of bounty hunters track him down, and then help him resolve a case of local land corruption. Miss Parker's attention also shifts to searching for Jarod's father, but for a less benevolent reason. Sydney's sight begins to return.
- Jarod takes on the role of an ex-cop bodyguard of a money laundering gangster so he can protect an ATF agent who has been working undercover as the gangster's fiancée, and separated from her own daughter for more than a year. Meanwhile, Miss Parker and Mr Broots continue to investigate the authenticity of Mr Raines' recent apparent religious conversion.
- Tensions run high when Greg Campbell is intent on stopping murder suspect Scott Burnett from marrying PC Honey Harman. Conflicts arise between an ambitious soccer coach and the father of one of the team who has a Premiership trial scheduled for the following day. The family of one of the Sun Hill team is involved in a serious car accident.
- Jarod creates an elaborate sting operation to discover which member of a gang of thieves murdered a child on their previous job. Meanwhile, back at The Centre, Miss Parker, Broots and Sydney continue to follow the trail of the mysterious 'Mirage' clue given to her by Edna Raines.
- DS De Costa is questioned about the incident involving Margaret Barnes on the stairs, Samantha Nixon and Gary Best investigate the suspected date rape of a young girl and Gina Gold struggles to juggle the pressures of work with her cancer treatment.
- Jarod recognises the MO of a new kidnap case from one he worked on years ago at The Centre. He becomes a criminal behaviourist from the justice department and enlists the assistance of the convicted psychopathic killer from the earlier case to help rescue the kidnapped girl before she is killed by the copycat killer. Miss Parker, Sydney and Broots continue to peruse Jarod under the continued interference from Mr Raines.
- More drug raids reveal no hard evidence to incriminate Lewis McKenzie, but only more of his children and their mothers. DCI Meadows puts pressure on one of the mothers, Letitia Watson, to expose Lewis' dealings. DS Nixon and DS Hunter fall out over his handling of Kate Maltby's pregnancy. PC Lance Powell is held at gunpoint and the real identity of his "nemesis", Adi Mateen, is revealed. Sept Okaro returns to work. PCs Murphy and Kent investigate a harassment incident against a lady-friend of his.
- While Jarod befriends a woman on the run, named Zoe (played by perky Lisa Cerasoli), Miss Parker, Sydney and Broots embark on a movie-inspired expedition created by Jarod.
- Two brothers take hostages at gunpoint in a hospital where their father is being treated for a heart condition. Jarod becomes an FBI hostage negotiator in an effort to resolve the standoff, and at the same time, reveal the unethical activities at the hospital that drove them to it. Miss Parker's father reaches out to her from hiding.
- After his family's funeral, Supt Okaro and Gina Gold reflect upon their lives, and Gina tells him of her illness. "Operation Mercury" continues to investigate the network of suspects involved in the supply of drugs to the Cole Lane Estate. DSs Samantha Nixon and Phil Hunter investigate a stolen laptop - leading to complications for the owner, meanwhile, another chapter of Phil's life catches up on him.
- Jarod takes on the role of a substitute teacher to protect a child who is to become a key witness in murder re-trial. His first task though is to discover which of his class members the mystery witness is. Meanwhile back at The Centre, Miss Parker, Broots and Sydney discovery another secret about Mr Raines' past and another clue to follow.
- Inspector Gold goes out on patrol to keep rumours at bay regarding her absences from the station. MIT's case against Scott Burnett hits a major hiccup over the leaking of evidence, and DC Jo Masters' murder case begins to unravel when her witness is intimidated.
- Margaret Barnes' obsession with DS Ramini De Costa continues to escalate, and when Margaret's employer takes action to have her transferred, it pushes her over the edge with serious consequences for DC Perkins who has been trying to support Ramini through the ordeal. DC Masters, Acting DC Best, PC Powell and PCSO Bryant work on a drugs case while PC Stamp and PC Casper investigate a series of graffiti incidents with a difference.
- Jarod falls for a wealthy restaurant owner who shows compassion for an out-of-work family, but their paths cross again when the corrupt business man he is there to expose turns out to be her husband. Things become even more complicated when the business man is killed in a house fire. Meanwhile, Jarod sends a clue to Miss Parker at The Centre leading to a new discovery about Mr Lyle's past.
- DI Manson and his team investigate an accusation from a traumatised man about sexual abuse from his boxing coach when he was a child. To pursue the case they must persuade a second victim to come forward. Meanwhile, DI Manson's son is admitted to hospital to be tested for leukaemia.
- A teenage girl is found wandering through night-time traffic after being missing for two years. Although traumatised from her ordeal, the Sun Hill team's priority is to discover where she has been and what happened to her, before another young victim is lured into the same net.
- Jarod's life appears to be coming together, but has to delay a vacation trip with Zoe when his father contacts him with news about where his sister may be. He arrives in Philadelphia to find an attempt has been made on her life. Back at The Centre, Miss Parker continues to investigate "Mirage" and her mother's empty grave. Meanwhile, with her father and brother and Mr Raines, all working to cover up the past, the tangle of "secrets and lies" of The Centre begin to unravel to reveal some unlikely alliances and relationships.
- Jarod and Miss Parker hunt for their newly-discovered half-brother "Ethan" who has been manipulated by Mr Raines to commit a terror attack as part of a project called "7677." With the Raines/Parker power-struggle in full play, the race is on to get questions answered and save lives. Meanwhile, acting under orders from Mr Parker and Mr Lyle, Mr Cox ties up and gags Zoe to act as leverage against Jarod.
- DS Ramani De Costa and PC Valentine race against time to discover who and where Margaret Barnes' stabbing victim is. Meanwhile, DC Perkins lies bleeding on Rimini's bathroom floor. DS Hunter and DS Nixon investigate a curious case of lewd photos. DC Masters' drugs case leads PC Powell and PCSO Bryant to make a surprising connection.
- DI Nixon, preparing to leave Sun Hill for a new job with the Child Exploitation Unit, leads an investigation into the importation of drugs. When the team moves in on the gang, all they find is a consignment of pineapples. However, the case soon warms up with their informant getting kneecapped and the kidnapping of the main suspect's daughter.
- Jarod goes to Atlantic City to help Argyle pay-off a debt to Sonny Faddis, a local loan shark. Argyle has been trying to fund a trip for his father to see the Pope. But they soon get drawn into a turf war between Faddis and another local loan shark, Dennis "The Cuban" O'Quinn. Miss Parker, Sydney and Brooks, returning from Hawaii on a Centre jet, get delayed in a storm and Miss Parker tells Sydney about her feelings for Thomas, the man doing some work on her house.
- Max and Terry investigate the stepfather of the murdered eleven-year-old, and uncover a hijacking operation.
- A young feral girl is discovered living alone in the woods and is taken in by a local private clinic for care. Jarod assumes the identity of a state psychiatrist in an effort to protect her from one of the clinic's doctors real, less-than-ethical, interest in the girl and her tragic circumstances. Meanwhile, Mr Parker remains in hiding, and at the center it's a question of who should trust who as the triumvirate tightens its grip.
