Mary Pickford was plucked from a crowd of people waiting for her chance of immortality on the big screen. Rather than imposing herself upon the scouts, she hid herself away, and immediately caught their eye by her morose posture. Once she made her debut, she teamed up with Billy Quirk in this film.
