Designed to point out a message
deickemeyer17 September 2017
A series of motion picture scenes, designed to point out a message. The first part of it shows a time of hurry and bad manners with something added in the suffragettes who break windows. The other half shows a time of courtesy, seventy years ago on election day; but no poor voters are shown and the town meeting can adjourn, after voting, to dance the minuet. It is not a very sincere picture in either half. Written and produced by Lem Parker, it has been gracefully played with Kathlyn Williams, Harold Lockwood, Eugenie Eesserer and A. Ernest Garcia in the leading roles. The first two are the lovers and Miss Besserer's old grandmother is astonishingly real. The photography is clear. - The Moving Picture World, June 21, 1913
