Mildly amusing silent comedy

BILLY THE BEAR TAMER is a brief silent comedy from 1915, recently resurrected from the vaults and put online by those hard-working gentlemen at Harpodeon. The story is about a couple of young lovers, thwarted by the girl's father, who concoct a silly plan: the boyfriend will dress up as a bear to menace the family, before returning as himself to save the day and thus building his status in the father's eyes. This being a comedy of errors, all does not go as planned, and the humour as such is dated but mildly amusing.
