Adapted from the stage play "The Case of Becky" that ran for 95 performances at The Belasco Theatre (1 Oct 1912-Dec 1912), starring Frances Starr in the title role. This was considered a hit during the 1912 Broadway season.
Frank Reicher's film debut (both as a director and actor). Mr. Reicher had been on Broadway since 1899. While he did not have any connection with the 1912 theatrical production, he was previously employed by David Belasco in several productions there, having appeared in Belasco's hit "Marie-Odle", which had ended just prior to this film's production, which began in the summer of 1915.
