Reel 3 of this 5 Reel film survives in the Library of Congress.
The Hidden Scar ( 1916 ) was one of the incomplete silent films discovered in Dawson City, Canada. More than 500 reels of nitrate film were discovered in 1978, frozen after having been buried for over forty nine years. The National Archives of Canada, in cooperation with the Library of Congress, was able to thaw out, dry the reels, and hasten their transfer to acetate film stock.
