Director King had a very difficult time finding the talented animals to play the canine parts. He was steered to King and Queen by pioneer filmmaker Edwin S. Porter, the director of "The Great Train Robbery." Porter suggested King try the then defunct Wormwood Dog and Monkey Show, which he had worked with before entering films.
Cast and crew, including the two hounds cat in the film, stayed at the renowned hotel The Holmstead in Hot Springs, Virgonia.
An article, "The Authenticity of Henry King," which appeared in the October 1984 issue of "Films in Review," chronicles the making of this lost film.
This film is presumed lost.
