The Little Irish Girl (1926) -- Lost Silent
PamelaShort22 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Not easy to find much on this lost melodrama that starred the beautiful Dolores Costello. The story has Costello playing Dot Walker, a come on girl for con artists operating a crooked card game in San Francisco. She charms young Johnny ( John Harron ) who has come to the city to try to sell his grandmother's hotel. He soon loses all his cash and invites the fellows to return to his hometown to buy the hotel. The crooks then attempt to swindle Johnny's Granny ( Gertrude Claire ), but the crafty old lady swindles them instead. Dot now reforms her criminal ways and wins Johnny's love.

Fans of Dolores Costello and silent cinema hope for a surviving copy of this lost silent Warner Bros. film to resurface.
