- This was one of the first Shakespeare movies ever made. It follows Shakespeare's script exactly, so there is no vulgar content whatsoever.
Violence & Gore

- The way Petruchio "tames" Katherine could be considered abusive by today's standards. However, it is mostly played for laughs and is not overly disturbing.
- Katherine's erratic and "shrewish" behavior at the beginning is somewhat violent and abusive (especially against her little sister). However, nothing is overly disturbing, and it is pretty much just comic violence.

- None whatsoever. Every line is taken directly from Shakespeare's play.

- Petruchio drinks to frequently, sometimes to excess. There is no content that is overtly or egregiously immoral, however.

- This film is free from adult content or violence. Suitable for all ages.
- While the 1967 version may be more accessible for someone reading the play than this very old version from 1929, there is nothing in this film that could cause offense to families or classrooms.
