In Louie's last room there is a picture of Napolean on the wall. The label showing the title of the picture "Napolean in Exile" appears and disappears between shots.
What appears to be a typo in the gangland slaughter headline of the newspaper Louie reads in the boarding house - it reads 'grewsome' instead of 'gruesome' - is in fact an acceptable variant that was more popular at the time the film was released.
The newspapers have large headlines and the first two or three lines of the article are relevant to the story, but the remaining lines of the story in the newspapers don't make sense.
