When Keller returns to the theatre to pick up Weber and Mrs. Newberry, she enters first sitting behind the driver's side of the car while Weber seats behind the passenger's side. But when they arrive at the first location where Weber gets off, they are now seating in the reverse positions.
When the Border Patrol reaches the downed airplane and finds Weber in the pilot seat and Keller tied up in the passenger seat; there are tree branches protruding into the cabin of the plane. But on the following cuts, the branches keep disappearing and reappearing.
When Bill is back at the apartment with Mrs. Newberry and he has just mixed them drinks, the clock on the mantle reads 2:00 am. When Weber makes him shoot the same clock a bit later, it is 12:50 am.
Bill is depicted taking off in a Curtis Wright Fledgling with registration NR8674. However, once up in the air, this is the plane he transfers to - and then falls off.
A newspaper story about the mid-air gunfight has a headline saying that "ships" (meaning airships) were shot down, which is correct, but the story reports only one. Also, movie-makers knew that the audience would not have time to read more than the first sentence of the article, so took no trouble about the rest, which is just filler. The second sentence reads: "An extensive investigation on the part of officials representing a fame and fortune, flatly declared only those with high class hat."
On the storefront window of GILHOOLY'S JOBS, it has a listing of jobs under the heading, "To Day." The aforementioned spelling of the word "today" is incorrect. The grammatically correct spelling of the word is either hyphenated as in "To-day" which was the way it was generally done back in the early 20th century or one word as in "Today" which is how it is commonly used now.
When Bill shoots the clock, the glass breaks and the hands fall off, but there is no bullet hole in the clock face.
It is not shown or explained how Toodles and Alabama make it from the Music Box Theatre to outside Mrs. Newberry's apartment on Park Avenue in time to be there waiting for Bill - when they have no money for a cab or any other transportation.
Both Border Patrol planes are shown equipped with dual machine guns, but their pilots fire at Bill and Toodles with pistols.
Bill drives his new boss Mrs. Newberry and Kurt Weber to the Music Box Theatre, which is located at 239 West 45th Street. After dropping them off, Bill drives a short distance and meets up with Toodles and Alabama - and the address of the bank behind them reads "721."
When Tootles and Bill are in Nicaragua, the Marine Corps Hymn is heard, leading one to believe they are Marine fliers. Bill then tells the men working on the airplane he was in the Army. Later, he tells Weber he was a Marine pilot for two years in Nicaragua. Then Bill tells Weber the $150 per month salary he's been offered is "better than Army pay."
