The face on the jack in the box was a spoof of comic Jimmy Durante, known for his, er, schnozzola (nose).
As always with shorts of this era, the attention to background detail was perfect.
A Mickey Mouse sounding character tells the audience, "So Long, Folks!" at the end of the short.
In these early WB offerings, the characters resemble those drawn by rival studio Disney, especially the cow. And even in 1933, the predilection for showing the characters' undergarments was already a given.
