When Spanky's Mother first gets down to kneel to try to save her son she lifts up her dress and it's clear she is not wearing a slip. When is is down trying to pull him in you can see her panty line. Later as she is being pulled out on the stage you can see the slip peaking out from under her dress.
When Spanky's Mother goes behind the curtain and she reaches her intended place to launch her rescue she lays the stage pole on the stage and begins to remove her overcoat. She turns and throws the garment to the side of the stage. In the next shot the overcoat has disappeared. There was no one there to pick it up so how did it disappear?
When Spanky's Mother is shown after she stood up after her dress got snagged on the stage curtain if you look at the stage you see her stage pole but Spanky, who should be there as he was being pulled off by her, is missing.
When Spanky walks out on stage, there is a metallic armband on his right arm around the wrist. When he starts reciting "Friends. Romans..." it is not visible on the right arm. When his shield falls, the metallic armband is now on his left arm and is there for the rest of the short.
When Spanky is trying to perform his stage act the gang are pelting him with peashooters which bounce off his armor and land on the stage however when he is on the stage trying to resist being pulled off by his mother there are no peashooters on the stage at all.
When the MC comes over to the mother he says " Where's Shakesprre he's on next". The mother responds "Well it's about time ". There is an act on stage which is a harmonica player but later there is another act which is a tap Dancer. So if the harmonica player did a tap dance at the end of his act Spanky wasn't the next act.
When Spanky is on stage being pelted by the waves of pea-shot coming from the peashooters it is very obvious that the peas are being thrown at him from a few feet in front of him .if the peas were shot out of a peashooter the peas would be coming at him in a straight line from the shooter.
When the gang came to Spamky's house and Spanky looks to see if he can sneak away to speak to the them, he looks over at his mom who is at the sewing machine. You can see the shadow of the boom and microphone cross over her.
The child actor that plays the harmonica player/ tap dancer looks directly into the camera several times during the short. Considering there are many other children in the short he is the only one that does that. He also was standing directly behind Spanky and Daisy and as each speaks their line he looks at the next one who is about to speak. He knows the lines and what is going to be said and who is going to say it. If this was real he wouldn't know when and at who to look.
When Spanky is rushing the prop to hide his stripped mother. She is kneeling on stage frozen in shock, unable to move. But when he pulls the prop in front of her she moves her head and shoulders forward to place the bottom of her chin on the cut out top part of the prop.
