In most of the Our Gang comedies Darla Hood is a brunette. She has blonde hair in this short, because her hair color was changed for her role in the Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy film The Bohemian Girl (1936).
This film marked the final Our Gang installment directed by the series' best director, Robert F. McGowan, who had been with the series since its beginning in 1922.
The very next time that time Robert F. McGowan would have any notable association with the Our Gang would be 19 years later on a segment of early television's "You Asked For It," (1955), reuniting the founding director with several of the original child actors from the silent shorts.
On the original movie card of this short, George "Spanky" McFarland is the lone member of the Our Gang who receives billing.
