When Hawkeye is first tied to the stake by indians it's by two bands loosely crossed his lower chest. When the fire at his feet is started a close up shows the bands tight across the centre of his chest while in long shot they're as first seen.
A settler tells Hawkeye he hasn't seem him in a coon's age. However, this form of expression was first known to be used in 1843 - nearly 90 years after the events in the film are supposed to have occurred (in 1757).
Early in the film, a character describes William Pitt as "mad as a hatter." That expression's first documented usage was in 1829, 72 years after the movie is set.
The lock and bar system used has a job of keeping the door shut while pad locked. Visible with a brighter screen setting.
