This film's initial USA television broadcast took place on Thursday August 17, 1939, on New York City's newly launched experimental television station W2XBS, which would not reach commercial status until almost 2 years later, on June 29, 1941, as WNBT (Channel 1).
Billy Gilbert (The Tailor) became so well known for one of his standard comedic routines that finished in a big, loud sneeze, that Walt Disney cast him as the voice of 'Sneezy' in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)'.
This film was produced by Invincible Pictures and distributed by Chesterfield Pictures, two sister companies under the same ownership. In 1935, both companies were part of the six-company merger that created Republic Pictures Corporation.
