Even though they are all with the same film troupe making "Woman Trap" for Paramount at Lone Pine, Gertrude Michael and Director Harold Yound aren't on speaking terms with Roscoe Karns and George Murphy. After a hard day's work the company retired early, that is all but Murphy and Karns. outside the hotel where they're all quartered hangs the town's fire bell directly opposite the rooms of Miss Michael and Young. Around midnight the bell started clinking. And for an hour, at two-minute intervals the bell clinked. Nobody got any sleep. Murphy and Karns were suspected and before the day was over, it was discovered they had shot at the bell with an air rifle.
