When Klara is wrapping the wallet for her mystery boyfriend, Alfred comes into the room, and she stops to talk. However, when they both leave the room, she picks up the package and it's completely wrapped.
Before they leave the store room Alfred takes 5 boxes and Klara 4. In the next cut, suddenly Klara carries 5 boxes and Alfred has 4.
When Klara hurries out of the back room with her hat and coat she rushes past the rest of the employees as they enter the room in a group. Flora is the second-to-last person in the line and she is clearly inside the room before Klara runs past. In the next cut showing Klara hurrying through the store, Flora is the last person in line and is still in the doorway.
The orientation of the Music Boxes spread around the floor surrounding Vadas after he is pushed by Kralik; changes from one cut to the other.
When Mr. Matuschek is leaving his office, it appears as he is shutting the door on his way out. In the next cut the door is fully open.
When Kralik sets down his order book, we can see that "Matuschek & Co." has been embossed on it upside-down. We're seeing the back of the book, and it is not inconceivable that the name of the company was embossed on both the front and the back.
Mr. Matuschek pronounces 'Budapest' with a regular 's', but in Hungarian it would be pronounced with a 'sh'. A local would never get this wrong.
The name on Kralik's sales book reads Matuschek és Company. However, despite them talking in English for obvious reasons, all the printed names in the store including the doors are in Hungarian. Therefore the English word Company should also be in Hungarian and it should read Matuschek és Társaság.
In the post office when the back of the mailboxes is shown; the way the numbers are sorted is inconsistent. In the row, with Klara's box, the numbers increase going from top to bottom. However, in every other row, the numbers decrease going from top to bottom.
When Mr. Matuschek is showing the music box to Vadas; he tells him that all he wants is his honest opinion. However, in the next cut as Pirovitch is coming out of the storage room; Mr. Matuschek is heard off-screen repeating the same dialog to Vadas. Apparently, they wanted to get a close-up of Pirovitch's reaction to the dialog so they overdubbed the same dialog again.
After dismissing his employees for the night, Mr. Matuschek sees Vadas leave the shop. As he watches him close the door, you can clearly hear off camera directions that sound like "turn" and "he's gone."
At 24 min after Vadas flashes his money and joins the group the shadow of the camera rig passes over them.
The story takes place in Budapest, Hungary but all the characters speak English instead of Hungarian or local minority languages, such as Romanian, Ruthenian, or German.
