Popeye's home is seen here. It sports historically accurate decor, with a modern icebox, stone fireplace, corner bric a brac shelf (with tchotchke), and framed wall art.
As with all of the Fleischer films from this era, the attention to the tiniest detail is exceptional, right down to the final shot of the flies doing a square dance.
Popeye makes a comment about a flyweight when the fly is swinging the boxing glove. The flyweight class is an actual weight class used in combat sports, designating a competitor who does not weigh more than 112 lbs.
One of a number of Popeye shorts which were sent off to Asia in the 1980s to undergo the infamous redraw and colorization process.
The antagonistic fly eats some spinach and develops super strength, just like Popeye usually does.
