Hedda Hopper, and one of her many hats, visits the dog-training and dog-boarding kennels in Hollywood run by Carl Spitz, where pets of the stars are bedded, dogs are trained for film-work and other dogs are trained for for the various branches of the U. S. military. The audience gets an up-close-and-personal meeting with 'Mr. Binkie', a scotty who was Ronald Colman's buddy in "The Light That Failed," and also 'Prince Karl', who demonstrates that every movement of his master's hand has a meaning of its own to 'Prince Karl.' The reel ends up with some footage of an Idaho hunting trip with Ernest Hemingway and Gary Cooper among the hunters.
