First film since the inception of the "Production code" in the 1930's to show a double bed in a married couple's bedroom.
Filmed from November 1943 to January 1944, and not released until 1946. It was only screened for military audiences during the war as the studio thought it would be more well-received by the general public after the war ended.
Originally George Brent was to have received equal billing but, by the time the movie was ready to be released, he had switched studios and Barbara Stanwyck's name therefore appears alone.
