Danny Jones (Billy Halop), raised in an orphanage, recruits high-school students into his gang, and during a planned warehouse robbery he kills Jeff Carter (Donald Curtis), the Boys' Club founder, who tries to stop him. At his trial a young girl, Doris Martin (Ann E. Todd), speaks up for him as her protector in the days when she lived in the same orphanage. She is the adopted daughter of the district attorney, Edgar Burns (Richard Gaines), and when Danny is sentenced to life imprisonment, Weston (Jerome Cown), his defense attorney, lays the blame at the feet of the delinquents' parents. What the district attorney doesn't know is that Danny is his son.
