A very enjoyable little drama

Warning: Spoilers
I am surprised that no one has commented it yet. A good B picture telling us the story of an ordinary man - a simple construction worker - who is false accused of the murder of his foreman, he accused of cheating at a poker game. So he runs away and finds refuge in a skyscraper painting little company. He meets an old employee, with whom he sympathizes. And tells him his story...

I won't spoil you the rest of this little feature, except I don't think TCM would air this film on a 11th of September day. Too many bad souvenirs, I guess.

A good surprise, I repeat, and very rare too. Look for Jack Lambert, in a petty character, but not a really villain one.

If it wasn't for the last ten minutes, this really would have been a disaster.

Warning: Spoilers
The first 15 minutes of this hour long Pine Thomas drama is your standard story of a wronged man hiding after being wanted in a murder case of which he obviously was not guilty and somehow clearing himself while becoming a hero of a different sort. Richard Denning is fine and Trudy Long decent as the trouble hero and his girl, dealing with typical romantic intrigue when he takes a job working for a construction company. A plane crash in one of the buildings has it threatened with collapse and Denning rushes there to save Long's grandfather (Will Wright) who is trapped under a collapsed beam.

If it wasn't for that last ten minutes, I would have given this half of the rating that it ends up getting. a lot of the first 50 minutes is filled with silly humor that is pointless to the story as a whole, and the flashback which explains Denning's past doesn't come until the last quarter of the film. it's one of those films that you have to be patient with because by the time the good stuff starts, you might have lost interest.
