(at around 46 mins) Lane orders two Old Fashioneds for Reynolds' party, but when the bartender gives her the order, the tray has several drinks of different kinds on it.
When Lane and Fielding are sitting on the bank of the spring, the long shot (toward the shore/bank) shows Lane's silhouette to the left blowing cigarette smoke as they talk. In the reverse shot/closeup (from the shore/bank), they have changed places.
Many shots of the sign for Dan Reynolds' company show it misspelled as "Reynold's Construction Co."
Sheriff Semple arrives at the construction company site. In between shots, the name on the sign changes from "Reynold's" to "Reynolds."
When Sheriff Semple and Carlisle are in the Reynolds office speaking with Lassen, Carlisle takes out a cigarette, smokes it, then puts it out. On the next cuts, the action of Carlisle with the cigarette is inconsistent and out of sequence. The cuts go back and forth between taking out a cigarette, putting it out, smoking it, and then taking it out again.
Sheriff Titus Semple tells Fielding Carlisle to "get over to that girl's house and ask her to marry 'her'", instead of "marry you".
Actually, Semple says "marry ya" and with the accent Sydney Greenstreet uses for the role, it can be misheard as "marry her".

(at around 1h 12 mins) Titus Semple and Fielding Carlisle have an argument in the construction office. Titus throws Fielding out the door into the dirt, then walks out the door. He stops, takes a whiskey bottle and breaks the glass in the door with Fielding's name on it. The sugar confection used in Hollywood for break-away glass flies onto Titus's cheek under his left eye. It sticks for one second then falls off.
When Dan Reynolds visits Lane in jail, she is wearing a prison uniform except for the shoes, which are high heels, and she is also wearing her wedding ring. An inmate would not be allowed to wear high heels or any type of dress shoes in prison, nor would they be allowed to wear any jewelry.
When Sheriff Semple and Carlisle leave the Reynolds office, the construction site in the background looks different from the way it looked when they first entered the office. This indicates that the rear projection screen used different footage for different cuts.
In the "Chapter One" text shown at the beginning, Boldon City is misspelled "Bolden City".
When Field first goes into Lane's tent, the radio is playing, and she is heard singing. Cut to a shot of Lane lying on a cot; her voice is heard singing, but her lips don't move.
In the opening scene the sign states "Boldon City - Elevation 1253 Ft". The highest point in Florida is only 345 feet.
The mountains seen surrounding the Town of Boldon City are unlike anything found in the State of Florida.
Early in the film, Sheriff Titus Semple complains to Boatright that one time when his extra chair (to put his hat on) was missing, and his hat ended up on the floor, where he could barely bend over to pick it up. At the end of the film, when Semple throws the telephone at Lane Bellamy and knocks the gun out of her hand, he exhibits cat-like reflexes when he is able to cross the room and get the gun before Lane can simply stoop down and recover it.
Near the end, a mob forms in front of Lane Bellamy's home. The mob is not seen, but dozens of people outside are heard making verbal threats. The next scene is her driving away, somehow having avoided a confrontation outside with the mob.
At the poker game at Lute Mae's, one of the players commits a serious breach of poker etiquette by looking at Dan Reynolds' cards after he wins the hand because everyone else folded.
