Freddy the Freeloader sneaks back into his old high school classroom and into the middle of his 25 year reunion. His classmate, Paul Pusher (guest Gig Young), has become very successful and insists on giving Freddy a job with his company. In "The Silent Spot," Red is a nervous bridegroom just before the wedding who keeps getting the wrong tuxedos delivered.

San Fernando Red is operating a computer dating service, without much success. When a beautiful blonde (Nancy Ames) asks him to find her a husband, Red is surprised by her request that the prospective hubby be an older gentleman. Red strikes gold when he snares an aging hippie, played by Jackie Coogan. In "The Silent Spot," Red plays a boxing referee who is pressured by hoods to fix the outcome of the match.

Red (as George Appleby) gets a job as a waiter at the Nut Club. A comic called Laugh a Minute Louie (Godfrey Cambridge) offers to visit George's house and pay him a dollar for every insult his wife throws at him so he can use them in his act. In "The Silent Spot," Red visits the beach and annoyingly makes advances on a bathing beauty.

In a Western parody, Red appears as Sheriff Deadeye who must contend with do-gooder Victor Virtue (guest Robert Vaughn) after he reforms sultry Joyce Jameson. Agreeing to also be reformed, Red must travel to an island and try to reform a group of pirates. In "The Silent Spot," Red plays a tippler husband on his day off at home.

Since he is far from proficient in this ability, Paw sends him to pig college (and guest Polly Bergen) to learn how to call. In "The Silent Spot," Red appears as a hapless waiter at a restaurant that is literally too close to everything.

However, he finds he has been beaten out by Nathan Nothing (guest Robert Goulet), who is younger and more handsome. In "The Silent Spot," Red plays a crotchety old man who hates children, but finds he has been promoted to a store's toy department during the Christmas rush.

Colonel Hush-Hush (guest Peter Falk) decides he will be perfect for a secret project as he is too dumb to remember anything he sees or hears. In "The Silent Spot," Red plays a husband who vows to keep his New Year's Eve resolutions, and be more helpful to his wife.

In "The Silent Spot," Red is a great actor who causes mayhem involving a cop, a pie salesman, and a pretty girl outside the theatre.

Observing that Clem has the fingers for it, Lumpkin takes him to the Olympics to break the world chicken plucking record. In "The Silent Spot," it's the day after Christmas and Red plays a man dealing with his contentious wife, who demands he take down the tree and the decorations.
