Uses the same set as the film it parodies, High Noon (1952), and the Stooges feature, The Outlaws Is Coming (1964).
The same year this short was filmed, actor Emmett Lynn (the crazed guitar-playing old coot) was cast by Charles Laughton in the iconic The Night of the Hunter (1955) in the role of Uncle Birdie. After 2 days of filming, Laughton fired Emmett, replacing him with veteran actor James Gleason.
