• Johnny : [opening narration]  It begins here for me on this road. How the whole mess happened I don't know, but I know it couldn't happen again in a million years. • Kathie Bleeker : Where you going when you leave here?

  [Johnny just shrugs] 

  Kathie Bleeker : Don't you know?

  Johnny : Oh, man, we just gonna go...

  Johnny : I'm afraid of you? Are you cracked?

• Johnny : Nobody tells me what to do. You keep needlin' me, if I want to, I'm gonna take this joint apart and you're not gonna know what hit you.

• Kathie Bleeker : Why are you trying to be so rude?

  Johnny : I don't like cops!

  Johnny : Oh, I'm still swinging.

We really got ourselves hung on the Christmas tree, didn't we? Boy, was I green. Was I *really* green. I thought I was *really* living it up. I had me a guy and we were *really* going to go.   Johnny : What do you want me to do, send you some flowers?
