The last appearance of Spike.
The voice actors are uncredited, but the lady of the house (Joan) may have been voiced by Janet Waldo, who voiced the housewife as well as the teenage babysitter in the following year's Tot Watchers (1958). (The character in this short does not sound like prolific voice actress June Foray.)
In his final appearance, Spike breaks the fourth wall as he bemoans being framed.
As cartoons were still being shown in cinemas, the careful attention to background in this short is excellent. Everything from Jerry's broken teacup armchair to the lady's sewing basket, and more, are drawn true to life in perfect detail.
The kitchen boasts the very latest in modern appliances, including a refrigerator done in the popular mid century color of Harvest Gold.
