A rare and not so bad anti red drama
searchanddestroy-13 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I waited for it since so many years. At last I catched it. The director - Harmon Jones - had made not uninteresting movies such as GORILLA AT LARGE, CITY OF BAD MEN, DAY OF FURY, SILVER WHIP, TARGET ZERO, and so on...This one is really hard to see.

It takes place in Hungary, during 1956 events. The struggle between citizens in search if freedom and the communist regime. The reign of terror. Of course there are some sequences of torture, slaughter, the evil vs the right. Gerald Milton is outstanding as the cruel ruler of Budapest - the BEAST.

More, there are little good action sequences I did not expect in this kind of production. And you can also watch some archive images.

But you can prefer William Wellman's IRON CURTAIN or George Sidney's RED DANUBE, as anti red movies.
