Watchable but with a fairly meager plot
vicsabal22 December 2022
Italian comedy set in Amalfi with a very meager plot. The attractive Allasio and the always effective Manfredi make the film worth to watch but everything falls far short of the great works of the genre. Inspired by a Neapolitan song, the best gags come from the regional peculiarities of the area, especially those related to the past of the girl's father (a hilarious Carlo D'Alessio). There are also some funny sequences related to psychoanalysis.

In any case, the plot is rather silly and the mise en scene by the interesting director Puccini is completely lacking in inventiveness.

I recommend it to not very exigent lovers of "neorealismo rosa".
