A diverting family comedy film plenty of enjoyable humor , romance and good feeling

A stirring and moving tale proceeded with delicacy and simplicity by veteran and prolific filmmaker Jose' Maria Forque . It concerns two families of middle classes agree a sons' exchange , one French called Pierre Bernard , the other Spanish named Andrés , to spend the summer holiday . One of them goes París , the other goes Madrid , but the French child breaks a leg and is replaced by the beautiful teen Ivette, Catherine Diamant . She is well received by the Spanish family formed by the pharmaceutic Federico Aranda : Jose Luis López Vázquez, his wife Julia : Lucy Soto, the grandmother , Guadalupe Muñoz San Pedro , and especially by the eldest brother , Miguel : Piñar . As Miguel and Ivette fall in love themselves . Meanwhile , the shy Andrés has to deal with the rogue friends of Pierre Bernard and along the way he loses himself throughout out the París streets.

This is a funny and amusing comedy in which a young girl discovers another way of life by enjoying , loving and living , packing hilarious moments here and there . A simple, light , and plain script with no much Incidents is enough to create a decent film written by prolific Pedro Maso and Vicente Coello . It develops an agreeable and short story well directed by José Maria Forque , shooting efficiently as in Paris as Madrid . As main starring is the frankly delightful Catherine Diamant , unfortunately she will have a short career . She is well accompanied by a fine plethora of secondaries , giving magnificent acting, such as the always great José Luis López Vázquez who steals the show , Luchy Soto , Guadalupe Muñoz San Pedro, Gracia Morales in her usual role as a servant , Rafaela Aparicio and the French Jacques Marin.

It contains an evocative musical score , including catching songs , by Adolfo Waitzmann. As well as an atmospheric cinematography in black and white by Juan Marine. The motion picture was well made by José Maria Forque and it had quite a few success at the boxoffice . Forque had a particular penchant for the Spanish comedy and directed a lot of movies in all kinds of genres such as Comedy : the classical Atraco a las 3 , un millón en la basura , Maribel y la extraña familia , La becerrada , Las que tienen que servir , La Vil Seduccion , Madrid Costa Fleming Pecados conyugales . Thriller : 091 policia al habla , Tarots . Softcore : No es nada mama es solo un juego , La mujer de la tierra caliente . Giallo : El Ojo Del huracán . Science Fiction : Neus 2431 , among others . Rating 6,5/10 . The picture will appeal to Spanish films aficionados .
