Producer-Director-Writer Nasir Hussain was married to assistant choreographer Ayesha Khan but he was also romantically involved with heroine Asha Parekh. This was the last time all three worked together, although Nasir continued to work separately with Asha and Ayesha. In her 2017 memoir "The Hit Girl", Asha wrote that Ayesha was always kind to her, in spite of the awkwardness, even giving her a gift of gold bangles. But Asha eventually ended the romance with Nasir, because she didn't want to be the other woman.
After first week its stated that the sad ending was changed to happy one.
Vijay Anand was signed to direct the film but opted out.
Baharon Ke Sapne was not a Nasir Hussein type of film, so viewers were not happy, though it was a good film, but people thought that the film would be a typical Nasir Hussein type of film.
