- When the show first aired, the death of Aaron's father was graphically depicted with a thrown knife entering his father's belly. In the re-mastered version, Aaron's father's face is shown grimacing in close-up after the knife is thrown but you never see the knife penetrating his body.
- The original 1968 release contained several bumpers narrated by Greer Garson thanking the original sponsor, the American Gas Association with one bumper containing a photo of herself. These have since been edited out of prints since the 1970's.
- Releases since 1998 are missing a majority of the sound effects and have Paul Frees voice replacing Greer Gaston's narration near the ending. This is due to the 35mm master having been misplaced sometime in the 1990's.
