Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A shootout scene is in the middle of the film. There is no blood, however one of the main characters in the film, who was being hunted by the police, is shot and killed on a balcony. While the police are shooting at the man, people on the balcony throw bottles and cans down at the police but no one is hurt because of it.
  • There are a couple of moments where characters are punched but it is very mild.

Profanity

  • There are no scenes that contain high level, or constant, profanity. "Shit" is said several times. The word "Ni**er" is probably the worst word used in the film, however most of the people in the film use the word because they are all African American.
  • The word "Faggot" is said once by a Homosexual character.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The main character is drunk for a lot of the film.
  • There is a Hallucination sequence that takes places in a room of distorted mirrors. It is meant to show the stubborn drunkenness of the main character and is mostly played for laughs.
  • Smoking and mild references to drinking are heard but it is mostly a reflection of the era.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are several scenes of intensity where characters are yelling and screaming at each other.
  • The film is overall pretty intense in it's themes of race and revolution.

  • The film ends with the main character committing suicide by jumping off of a crane into a pit of dirt. It is more sad than disturbing.
