Ishq par Zor Nahi is beautiful romantic movie with love triangle...dharm sadhna pairs looks charming on screen with good picturization of romantic songs.... music is very good and soothing to ears...it was just aberage when it released in 1970 but musically it was big hit...

Rather a disappointment from a celebrated director like Ramesh Sahgal.l
burman13 August 1999
Ramesh Saigal, who had earlier given films like "Shaheed" starring Dilip Kumar, Kamini Kaushal and Chandramohan, "Shikast" starring Dilip Kumar again with Nalini Jaywant, as also "Railway Platform", in which he introduced Sunil Dutt, has not given a film meeting his standards. Dharmendra and Sadhna are adequate. The only highlight of the movie is the musical score by Sachin Dev Burman. Lata Mangeshkar's numbers are all beautiful, including "Tum mujhse door chale jaana na", "Main to tere rang rati", "O' mere bairagi bhanwra", and "Sach kehti hai duniya, isaq par zor nahin" are lovely numbers. Another beautiful number is the Lata - Rafi duet, "Yeh dil diwana hai, dil to diwana hai". Rafi's "Mehbooba teri tasveer" is also good.

Slow movie

Movie could have been better but it was kind of misdirection. The songs are awesome and the music is eternal. Such a waste of big star cast. I have watched this movie with lot of hope but it was a flop show. All the stars in the movie have performed well but the story and the direction has lacked big time.

Too dramatic, Too unrealistic
sherrvin-12 December 2013
A love triangle stretched unnecessarily until the end. Late 60s was the period when Hindi cinema started going unrealistic and too dramatic. The story is good but the screenplay is full of awkward sequences (mostly) until the very end. Climax is too foolish. Dharmendra & Sadhana are good. I found Vishwajeet somewhat bearable, for the first time. Others have supported well. If someone really want to watch this movie, should be for good songs; 1) Mehbooba Teri Tasweer, 2) Ye Dil Diwana Hai, Dil To, 3) Tum Mujhse Door Chale Jana Na, 4) Sach Kahti Hai Duniya, 5) Main To Tere Rang Rangi and a few more. Some interesting notes; A) This was the only movie Dharmendra and Sadhana worked together, B) This was the only movie Dharmendra and Vishwajeet worked together C) This was the only movie Vishwajeet and Sadhana worked together. My vote 3 for songs and 1 for movie.
