Lovely Leena in the altogether
The boys at Klubb Super 8 Video have done a public service, rounding up nudie loops of the late '60s in a tribute to filmmaker/distributor Eugen Vohrmann. This is the lesser of two shorts starring the divine Leena Skoog.
MOS black & white short is minimalist in form but has La Skoog in action, which is all that matters. Running 13 minutes, we see her waking up in bed, flashing full-frontal nudity early on, which is a relief given the varying amount of explicitness associated with such loops.
Her huge natural breasts are properly exploited to the viewer's advantage when she jumps up and down on the bed. Silliness ensues as she horses around playing with bed sheets, less than scintillating cinema.
The playful and innocence of Skoog comes through, even if filmmaker Eugen seems to have dozed off behind his camera. Real-time approach to shooting is a drag, and so is the lack of editing. When she stands at a picture window there are memorable shots of her breasts squished up against the glass -a porn gimmick I had previously credited to Radley Metzger for LITTLE MOTHER, shot three years later.
Lack of any closeups means there are no split-beaver shots in VAKNAR, though Leena exercising and spreading her legs wide gave the filmmaker ample opportunity.
