The entire 2 minute, 38 second introductory promo for the show was played on a Family Guy "cutaway" scene on And Then There's Fraud (2021).
Despite having just 16 shows that ran in new broadcasts from September to December of 1974, the series actually ran on CBS' Saturday morning schedule for a full year, until September 1975 (up to the very week of its one-year anniversary.)
Rod Hull, who had begun performing in Australia and the UK, was still building his career when he came to the US and appeared with Emu, his oversized hand puppet, as a regular performer in this series. In the next couple of years he crossed back over the Atlantic, got his own show on the BBC and became a massive star in Britain.
