I recall this series under the title of "The Love School", the memory of it has stayed with me since its screening in 1975 not least because it covered a subject I had a passion for. The casting was exemplary and the characterisation from what was a relatively young cast was highly convincing. Ben Kingsley's Rossetti was, as I remember, both passionate and tortuous, I cannot recall the actor that took the part of William Morris but his interpretation of this paradoxical man was a joy to behold. I've long wished I could see this series again and even tried to obtain copies from various archives but all to no avail. This work would be useful viewing for all students of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and Victorian Art and Literature in general.
