Back when the broadcast networks had their own studios and contracts with independents, they sometimes produced good movies. This was one of them. Not a blockbuster; not even a major film. It was like those 1950's showings of classic stories, filmed for TV. (Playhouse TV series.)
Best line: The head nurse, after watching him for a few hours, buys him some coffee, and asked, "Who are you?"
Not a great movie, but a good one, and a very good one given the time and the medium. I wish these movies were available online. Binge watching them would be a pleasure--and much better than what is available from most streaming services.
