- The uncut version of the film has received a DVD release in Japan (along with the two unreleased-in-America Sister Street Fighter sequels) and as a "bonus film" in the French HK Video DVD set entitled "Street Fighter - L'Integrale", which also features the three Sonny Chiba Street Fighter films; in America, the uncut version was released in a 2006 set from Ronin Entertainment/BCI Eclipse along with the two sequels and pseudo-sequel Fifth Level Fist (all featuring widescreen transfers, with mono and 5.1 Japanese audio, and an English dub on the original film).
- The 1986 UK video featured the extensively pre-cut U.S R-rated print which had been heavily edited for violence. However the BBFC also cut a further 3 mins 41 secs from the film to remove all footage of nunchakus.
- As with the "real" Street Fighter series, this film was initially going to be released in the US with an X rating for violence. However, New Line Cinema cut the film to receive an R-rating for a more profitable release. An official uncut American DVD was released in 2006 by Ronin Entertainment/BCI Eclipse (in a set along with the three other Sister Street Fighter films).
