Most popular film actors have a few embarrassments from the early days in their career and here's one that Tom Selleck would probably like to erase from his record. Not that any of the blame should fall on him. Probably no actor could have saved this dull, pointless, claustrophobic drama which takes place entirely in two mundane hotel rooms and in which lifeless characters engage in dreary exchanges of dialog. At least, in the second half of the proceedings, Tom gets to take his shirt off. (Gee, who would have thought that might happen?) He was in his physical prime here -- about 32 years old -- and that big chest of his is truly a sight to behold. Fortunately, no one ever persuaded him to shave it in order to achieve that smooth, bodybuilder look, and as hairy chests go, it has few rivals in the cinema. Clint Walker, of course, does spring to mind, but Clint can't match Selleck for sheer sexuality.
