Munich law school students 'repetitor' (academic tutor) Andreas Lechfeld was fatally stabbed in a park. His wife, a successful attorney, sees no ground or enemies. The team soon finds he has a row with a student who couldn't pay and was unwilling to settle it 'in kind', actually on tape. Lots of client students were frustrated as even with the expensive help many fail the bar exam, including Robert Huber, the most ambitious of the three 'referendaries' (deputy repetitors), who pretends to his parents already to have passed but actually the while firm is in dire financial straits.

Biology teacher Jürgen Wollinger shocked a whole primary class and some parents by killing one of his home-bred rabbits with the same devise used that evening to murder him. Rabbit breeders society president Peter Kofler and wife Hilde are shocked, no less by the disappearance of Wollinger's 'stud rabbit' Jörgi. Blind witness and patient Sieglinde Eberty astounds the team with her sharp non-visual observations to render credibility to an unlikely-precise killer-profile, unlikely to hold up in court. Jacob's colleagues and other patients despised him as a haughty asshole, even fresh widow Ortrun Jacob duly doubted his fidelity, being 'loberal' with all woman. Deputy hospital chief Dr. Rainer Behm inherits his position and intended to legally contend his dismissal from their revolutionary surgery project for bionic eye repair, just before the authorities were to allow tests, which he started with already. Forensics concludes the shooter was a pro, the bullet trails to Lutz Ischinger, never convicted for suspected hits in other Geran states. Someone else is proven no less traitorous.
