A nice family movie with good laughs and a feel good ending

In this movie you will find a couple of Denmarks greatest actors. You won't find any Oscar-worthy acting in this film but you will be entertained by a nice story, good acting and some rather funny little gimmicks and funny remarks.

Disappointing swan song.

This bland comedy set in a prison serves only as a footnote to the careers of a couple of Denmark´s greatest farceurs. This was the last film of both Jørgen Ryg and Dirch Passer. They´re both OK here, nothing great, a couple of giggles here and there, but a mostly forgettable fare. Dirch passed away 54 years old in 1980 (dressed in a clown suit) after a massive heart attack on the stage, which was where he always had felt at home and comfortable. Jørgen Ryg died the following year and Denmark was deprived of two of its most gifted performers, whose comedic talents were exploited and squandered in far too many mediocre and downright awful films by money-hungry executives. **
