A documentary shot in the flat Dutch country, at the edge of the sea. It embraces very different themes. Sometimes simple but very informative wildlife documentary, often militant, denouncing the capitalism that destroys the coast and employment in the maritime sector, the film is still lulled by a camera that has a look of humanity on this universe. But not only, because sometimes the film also releases a certain poetry, like this alternate plan between the tiny larva of the plaice that struggles in the water and the wide shots on the bleak ocean in which it is difficult to imagine all this life that is teeming. The silence of this little world of the sea, the dialogues of natives or vacationers, and the sounds of nature are sometimes punctuated by contemporary classical music, see jazzy that smells good the 70s. Yes the filmmaker is left and advocates collectivism at the turn of certain words, some images, but this ideological position, to the utterly commendable deumeurant, did not take on the strange well being that provides his film.
