The commuter train station in Huddinge in use when the movie was shot, with its scenes there, was torn down completely in 1986. The nostalgic value of the movie came to be even bigger when copyright issues made the movie largely unavailable from the mid 1990's until its final DVD release in December 2017.
Mats Arehn directed Gösta Ekman in a movie with a scene where Ekman's character fails to get a car to start. Which would also come to be the case in Dödspolare (1985).
Olsson arrives with a local train at 1:37 PM, merely five minutes before the next train scheduled for 1:42 PM, which also arrives at that time, on which Stickan is on his way to pick up the ransom money. This is definitely artistic freedom, or the first train is about 25 minutes late. In 1980 these commuter trains had half an hour between trains most of the Sunday, and on weekdays at this early afternoon time, as well, if it would be assumed that it's not a Sunday, although it's election day.
