Much of Kenny Everett's material was written by the late Ray Cameron, whose son is the successful stand-up comedian, Michael McIntyre.
When Kenny Everett moved to the BBC, some new characters for this show were created due to disputes with the previous television station, Thames Television. Thames argued that they owned the rights to the characters, not Kenny. Therefore new characters, such as Cupid Stunt were invented. Some characters were very similar to previous ones, for example the similarities between Sid Snott and Gizzard Puke.
The end theme tune, "Electro People" (credited as "I Like Electro People") was performed by the band Fox, who had three hit singles in the 1970s, including two in the top 5, and a top 10 album.
The song was released on the BBC Records label in 1981, but failed to chart.
