Good one - should not be missed!

Recently obtained a bootleg copy of Bare Essence. When I started watching it, I wasn't really impressed at first with some of the actors' abilities to pull this one off - some of the acting was a bit contrived. But I was pleasantly surprised and liked it very much! The end was great. Bruce was great as usual. Love him! Linda Evans was certainly a beauty in her time. Gosh to have cheekbones like her's! Wow! Donna Mills as well. I wasn't sure who Genie Francis is and to find out who she is (not a fan of General Hospital) and that she met her husband during the filming of this miniseries and then to find out he was Captain Riker in the Star Trek: The Next Generation series. Awesome!

I wish I could find a DVD/Video of this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie and would like to have a copy of it, but cannot locate it anywhere. I loved watching Genie Francis and Bruce Boxleitner together. The story is fast-paced and revolves around the rich and famous in the true 1980's style; with Tyger Hayes thrown into the mix. Genie Francis plays a very spunky, no-nonsense kinda gal and brings a company some pizazz. Donna Mills and Linda Evans bring their beautiful, rich personalities on screen. There is humor, romance, big business and some violence thrown together to make this a wonderful show to sit through. There are many stories to follow within the story - and they are equally exciting to watch.

If someone out there could help lead me to a website, or even the name of a store that carries it, I would sure appreciate the tip.

One of the best romance movies

I too wish I could find this movie on VHS or DVD. It is a classic for many reasons. It also provokes a lot of emotions at different times of the movie.

As I remember the movie, I often wonder if that is what really happens in that industry. I'm sure it's often cut throat, so to speak. Some of the scenery and movie sets are fantastic. It definitely fits the genre of the 80's.

Bruce and Genie I think should have been nominated for a Oscar!!! I've so many other romance movies that aren't half as good as this one.

If anyone knows where to get it, I'd certainly appreciate it!!!
