tender anti-war, anti-military movie

Warning: Spoilers
This film made a lasting impression on me. On the surface it's an anti-war movie, "anti" this terrorism of the rich against the poor. Under the surface, it's however also "anti" present society of cheap slogans and "self-evident" "truths". It attacks power as such, so I think, and how impossible it is to stay decent when you are in power. It turns its back on the abomination that we call "society", just like any decent work of art has an obligation to do, instead of joining in the chorus of the fresh business-men waging unprovoked wars in the name of whatever they can think of to make their business more outrageously "successful", which to them is "protecting their American way of life".
